Levels of Membership:
- Active Member (Voting Member): $125.00 per year.
Active membership shall be limited to Maine companies whose majority of
income is derived from the production, sale, servicing or handling of
nursery stock or in combination with associated items and any Melna
Certified Professional who chooses to become an Active Member.
- Participating Member: $125.00 per year.
Businesses in related fields and out-of-state nursery operations.
- Associate Member: $65.00 per year.
Maine companies whose majority of income is derived from the
production, sale, servicing, or handling of nursery stock or in
combination with associated items BUT DO NOT qualify for active
membership.
- Affiliate Member: $25.00 per year.
Individuals employed by an active, associate, or participating member.
- Contributing Member: $25.00 per year.
Persons engaged in teaching, research, or affiliated government
agencies in the field of horticulture or in related professions who
contribute time to the Association. Also, persons that are either Maine
Certified Landscape Professionals or Maine Certified Nursery
Professionals that do not fit into other categories and who do not
choose to be an Active Member.
- Student Member: $10.00 per year.
Students in training in the field of horticulture. Membership ceases upon departure from full time status.
Dues are payable annually on November 1.
If you become a member after June, dues for the following year will be
prorated at half the full amount for your category. If you join after
September, your dues will cover your membership for the following year.
Dues can be paid on the melna.org website with your credit card through
Paypal. If renewing, after November 30th your information will no
longer be visible on the website until your renewal is paid.
