Title: “Green Lawns that Keep Casco Bay Blue: Using Data to Help Consumers Make Better Choices”
For nearly 15 years, Friends of Casco Bay, has been documenting the presence of pesticides and the impacts of nitrogen in our coastal waters. Working in tandem with the Maine Board of Pesticides Control, Cooperative Extension, Master Gardeners, and dedicated lawn care professionals, we use our data to persuade homeowners to adopt ecological lawn care practices. We’ll share what we’ve learned, and we look forward to hearing about new strategies for keeping lawn chemicals out of the Bay.

Title: “The Challenges and Opportunities of Invasive Plants and Pests”

based design, and more.

Title: “Landscape & Nursery Industry Perspectives”
Mike will discuss plant health care from the perspective of an arborist; Jesse will discuss planning and proper care of landscapes to help keep plants healthy; and Toby will discuss on ways to keep turf healthy.
